Tottenham Hotspur’s difficult start to the 2026/27 Premier League season continued on Saturday as Spurs were held to a 0-0 draw by Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
The result gives Roberto De Zerbi’s side their first point of the campaign, but Tottenham are still searching for their first Premier League goal. Spurs have now failed to score in their opening three league matches, something they had not done since the 1974/75 season.
Tottenham had 59% possession and created several opportunities, but they failed to register a single shot on target. Omar Marmoush had a couple of chances but could not find the finish Spurs needed.
Forest thought they had taken the lead when Neco Williams bundled the ball into the net, but VAR ruled the goal out for handball. The decision caused frustration for Forest, with manager Oliver Glasner questioning whether there was enough evidence for VAR to intervene.
Despite the attacking struggles, Spurs leave Nottingham with a clean sheet and their first point of the season.
Tottenham now turn their attention to Everton, who visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 12.
